Christmas, who I will try to post some pics of, belongs to some people a few doors down from us. He runs around the neighborhood most of the time. They tie him up once in awhile, but when they do he has no shelter. From what I can tell he takes shelter under their porch. He comes down here and I play with him, brush him, and of course feed him. He is just the sweetest dog ever. He started coming around when we were puttin up Christmas lights so I call him Christmas. He seems to like it better here than at his house.
Anyway that is who Christmas is. Max can't seem to decide if he likes him or not. The first time they met everything went ok, there was lots of sniffiing and looking but everyone seemed to get along. Then yesterday Max kept lunging toward Christmas like he wanted tear him a new one. Earlier today everything was good we were back to sniffin lickin and battin at each other. They were a little scrappy but nothing major. Then a few hours later Max was back to wanting to tear Christmas a new one. I would really like these two to like one another. I read on one site where they tell you how to get dogs to get along, unfortunately it involves walking the heck out of em, wearing em out and then walking them together. That doesn't work so well when one of the dogs is not yours. I know some will read this and think but that other dog isn't yours why care just run him off. But that is not an option. Christmas is not my dog but in my heart he is. I would take him in if the neighbors wouldn't say anything, lol. I mean heck I got smacked in the head with golf ball sized hail today trying to make sure he was ok in a hail storm.
So if anyone has any ideas how to get two dogs to get along I am all ears.
